Before my hiatus, I bought this very pretty colorful gingham patterned ribbon. I really want to incorporate this into the project, so I make a round shaped card with doily paper, put some buttons on it and make a bow with the ribbon as the center piece. I sand the sides of the card to add a vintage feeling to it. I like the result.

Even though honestly, it’s not quick at all figuring out what I wanted to do with these colors. It’s definitely not my comfort zone, and it’s a tough challenge! Personally, I love the heart button the most, it just matches the sentiment

When I used the distressed polkadot stamps from Prima, it just remind me how much I wanted the papertreyink’s polkadot basics stamps. Sadly since I live faraway from the US, if I order from the papertreyink’s website, the shipping cost even more than the stamp itself

It’s the time again! Dawn’s Raspberry Suite Color Challenge. Sadly I’m mistaken the challenge’s closing date *sigh*, so this doesn’t count as an entry, but it’s fun and the colors are beautiful so I did it anyway! For this challenge, again I’m using Hero Art’s Kraft Notecard (I think I need more of these!). And also still in my button craze moment, I decided to use *more* buttons for this project, and voilà! It’s time for the 19th Prakarya Kertas papercraft challenge! It’s a monthly online challenge for Indonesian paper crafters in multiply held by Dian Yustisia. This time the challenge is tough. Using these colors; orange, black, dark green, purple, which are basically halloween colors for a wedding themed papercraft! I was thinking to incorporate the corpse bride or something Halloween-y so that I have the legitimate reason to use these colors.

Then, I incorporate just the purple and the orange (and a little bit of black) to make a non-traditional wedding card and gift tags! And wow that was fun. My experiment proves that these colors doesn’t always have to be about Halloween.

I stumble upon a scrapbooking sketch weekly challenge website, Pencil Lines. And one of their challenge project is a sketch from Stacy Cohen. I fell in love with the sketch, so I must play along even though I knew it’s waaaay way way too late for the challenge itself. I think hard on what pic to scrap, since I’m too lazy to go to the photo lab and print new pics. And also, the three boxes for photos made it clear for me, it’s either consecutive pictures, or one pic that I can perfectly cut into three.

Again I took one picture from my old album to scrap. This time it’s a picture we took in Shinjuku, Tokyo, in front of Robert Indiana’s artwork, the LOVE sculpture. It was a cold early spring in 2005, Anggit and Zulka just arrived in Tokyo and we held our first meet up. I love the picture, and the moment too. Here’s the result :
